@cybette: Aptly diplomatic "not very elegant". But yes, context over there still could use some work. I think they are including >140 for post and replies in the next point release. I do suspect it will not be presented as elegantly as it is here though. I spend way too much time visiting and revisiting conversations. Cannot find all the goodies in one place .... yet. Cheers.

@BUGabundo: I bet identica will have xmpp [imku] context soon. Look at how many features have been added/updated in just over a year. Much goodness from a small core team and other laconica contributors.

@BUGabundo: Tried gwibber a few times, ok but .... the context and other issues in xmpp is what nudged me fulltime to twitvim. TwitVim fits my work/home/space/usage/budget perfectly.

@rjeffries: I am still torn on the 140 char issue. Most often 140 is sufficient. I would miss my IdentiVim [twitvim] over here though.

@ymb: Ha, funny, but my "serial enthusiasm" does currently belong to identi.ca. I heard/read jaiku is going OMB?
The more federated sites, the better /me thinks. Really just a matter of deciding the community/feature set to embrace. Ala open, they will be complimentary, not competitive. Dive into any OMB pool and experience the ocean.
